Newton Abbot Community Interest Company was formed in October 2008 following the successful completion of the Newton Abbot & District Community Plan. 

The Newton Abbot CIC currently supports several community initiatives and helps establish groups to implement these initiatives. The Newton Abbot CIC is actively involved in kick starting and providing the impetus for many community activities and projects.

The Newton Abbot CIC works with a wide range of statutory, voluntary and community sector groups to design develop and implement the projects as detailed in the Community Plan. The Newton Abbot CIC is also very active in terms of lobbying for change and improving the Town Centre facilities working closely with the Town Centre Partnership and Newton Abbot Town Council.
